PROJECT PROCESS
Develop a written Impact Team Project Plan in Google Drive folder that addresses all of the following in some detail plus any other elements helpful for successful execution (about 2-4 pages).
I. Policy/Initiative/Issue: Identification & Dialogue
Working with the Agency Contact, identify and describe a specific, strategic, imaginative, impactful team project that is feasible in a five-week period.
Describe how well this project will address all project criteria and timeline.
Dialog, decide, and describe how project will be managed, including:
Outcomes
Organization, communication, decision-making, participation, accountability, project management.
Potential Roles: Facilitator/leader(s), team contact for agency, organizers, digital manager, writer, video/photographer, team-builder, etc.
Other management needs/issues
II. Inquiry and Framing
Inquiry is the practice of asking really good questions. What are the best questions your team can ask related to the project? Discuss with as much specificity as possible who/what will be your sources of valuable information.
For framing, consider the perspectives of various stakeholders, audiences, decision makers. Then describe how your team chooses to frame this project, including both your team's perspective and focus.
III. Positioning and Action
Discuss what is the most strategic position that can leverage the team's assets (experience, skills, networks, talents, etc.) to derive the most desired outcomes for the project.
Describe the process or list of steps for implementing the project, especially the necessary activities that will lead to the desired outcomes. Possible activities include but are not limited to the following: direct community action, a limited campaign, a set of lobbying activities, a public meeting, a meeting with decision makers, presentation at a government meeting, public service announcement, media op ed piece, policy proposal, social media engagement, community research resulting in data and/or recommendations, etc
IV. Summary, Reflection, and Sharing
Describe how summary and reflection in the format of a 3-5 minute slideshow/video will be completed. And as appropriate to the kind of project undertaken, an additional written report of undetermined length may be completed and shared.
